Sell across the counter (Point of Sale)
Sell to someone standing in your shop: create the order, take a card payment on a Mollie terminal or record cash, and the watch is marked sold. Rolling out in early access.

A counter sale is for a buyer standing in your shop. You pick the contact and the watches, Worldwatch creates the order, and you take payment on the spot: a card on a payment terminal, or cash into the till. The watch is marked sold and the payment is recorded against the order, all in one flow.
Early access. Counter sales are rolling out and are off by default. Turn them on in your user menu under Experimental → Counter sale. Card payments run through Mollie, which we are enabling for dealers gradually, so if the card option is not there yet, email sales@worldwatch.market. Cash works right away, with no setup.
Set up in-person payments
Cash needs nothing set up. To take card payments, connect Mollie once.
Connect your Mollie account
Go to Settings → Payments and, on the Mollie card, click Connect. You are sent to Mollie to approve it. The money from a card sale goes to your own Mollie account; Worldwatch never holds it.
Check your card terminals
Worldwatch reads your card readers straight from Mollie, so there is nothing to type in. Under Card terminals, each reader appears once it is on the same network as your till. Use Rename to give one a name and location, and pick the one a sale should offer first as your Default.
Start a counter sale
Open the counter sale screen
With counter sales turned on, open the Counter sale screen.
Choose the customer
Under Customer, pick one of your contacts, or add a new one. The buyer on a counter sale is always a saved contact.
Choose the watches and set the price
Under What they are buying, tick each watch and set the Price it sells for. You can add more than one.
Start the sale
Your shop address is read automatically as where the handover happened, shown as Handover recorded at. Click Start the sale. Worldwatch creates the order and opens the payment screen. (You need an address on your dealer profile first.)
Take the payment
On the payment screen, choose how the customer is paying:
- Card terminal. Pick the reader, then Send the amount to the reader. The customer taps, inserts, or swipes on the terminal, and the screen waits for the result. It cannot be cancelled from Worldwatch; if the customer changes their mind, cancel it on the reader. On Approved, the payment is recorded; on Declined, nothing is charged and you can try again.
- Cash. Enter the amount taken and confirm. Cash is recorded against the order immediately, no reader or Mollie needed.
You can take the full balance or a partial amount, so a deposit now and the rest later both work. A receipt is filed on the order automatically.
Already have the order? You can also take a counter payment on an existing order: open it and click Take payment.
What a counter sale records
- An order, addressed to the contact you chose, with your shop address as the handover location.
- The watch marked sold, so it comes off your other channels like any other sale.
- Each payment (card or cash) recorded against the order, with the amount and the provider reference for a card.
